My name is Y. MD/PhD, a cardiology fellow from the University of Washington in Seattle.  Born in the U.S., I grew up in Tennessee. However, the bulk of my formal training was in New England where I spent years at Yale, Boston University and Brown until when I started cardiology fellowship in Seattle, Washington.  I will finish my training in the summer of as I am currently on an NIH training grant until then.

I am interested in a private practice cardiology position in the Greater Phoenix  area.  Specifically, I would like to practice general, invasive cardiology that incorporates the diagnostic modalities of echocardiography and nuclear medicine.   I am moving to the Southwest because of family ties via my fiancée, an Arizona native, whom I will wed on July .

I am interested in a private practicethat reflects values that I also hold dear: compassionate patient care, a vigorous though collegial work environment, and a progressive management style that realizes that the balance of work and family leads to a productive physician.  I am an energetic, well trained cardiologist with up-to-date knowledge in the field.  My MD/PhD training has taught me to apply both deductive and inductive reasoning to solve clinical problems.  Furthermore, as timing is critical in acute coronary syndromes, my cardiology training has taught me to act quickly when the need arises.

In short, I think I am a strong candidate for this position  Looking forward to meeting with you.  Thank you for your time and consideration. (363983)

I plan on building a cardiology practice devoted to providing quality health, education and empowerment for those individuals who belong to underserved communities. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have made an effort to hone my skills as a community leader. As a medical student, I was driven to revitalize our chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA). My efforts were directed to toward organizing and implementing community health fairs in impoverished communities in Nashville, Tennessee. Under my supervision as chairperson of the Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education and Prevention (MOTTEP) chapter of the SNMA was able to recruit dozens of new student members and hundreds of potential organ and tissue donors through our first annual MOTTEP fair and Symposium at Meharry Medical College. Leadership with a focus on creative and independent thinking were attributes that I have cultivated as a Yale University Alumna and graduate of the Yale New Haven Residency Program. While at Yale College, I was exhilarated by the challenges presented in the classroom as a chemistry major, with a focus on Basic science research. This time taught me to focus on the integrity of my work and to tirelessly pursue solutions to many challenging questions without straight forward answers. I took this love of challenges with me to residency. As Yale resident, I honed my clinical skills and learned the art of patient care.
